On March 26, with the completion of roof slab pouring for the final segment, the tunnel main structure of the Airport North Line Road Project (East Section) Section I, constructed by the General Contracting Branch of China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Sichuan Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully capped, laying a solid foundation for full-line connection and opening to traffic.

　　Since commencement, the project team has overcome difficulties such as the enormous excavation cross-section, tight schedule, and heavy construction tasks. It has organized multiple construction progress promotion meetings, promptly coordinated and resolved issues affecting construction progress, consistently adhered to the principle of plan-first, further refined construction plans for key and difficult construction areas, strictly implemented the work safety responsibility system, comprehensively carried out routine hazard inspections, and consistently upheld project plan management as the core and safety and quality management as the foundation to ensure the project progressed on schedule.

　　According to reports, the tunnel foundation pit support system is intricate and complex, making construction coordination highly difficult. To solve this problem, technical management personnel organized multiple on-site surveys and discussions with participating units including the construction, geological survey, design, and supervision parties, and formulated a safe and effective slope treatment plan to ensure the smooth progress of the tunnel.

　　It is reported that the Airport North Line Road Project (East Section) Construction Section I is an urban trunk road within the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport area. The project has a total length of 3,683 m, including a 1,240 m tunnel under the Comprehensive Bonded Zone (open-cut), two major bridges with a total length of 527.16 m, roads of 1,915.84 m, six culverts of 470.5 m, 9 km of water supply and drainage pipelines, traffic safety facilities, lighting, and related ancillary works. Upon completion, the project will effectively promote coordinated regional development of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle and is of great significance for implementing Chengdu's "Eastward Advancement" strategic deployment.
