Inner Mongolia's First Full-Face Tunnel Boring Machine Rolls Off the Production Line

　　On the morning of March 26, Inner Mongolia's first full-face rock tunnel boring machine (TBM) rolled off the production line at CRCC Heavy Industry Baotou Co., Ltd., marking the official entry of full-face tunnel boring machines into Inner Mongolia's high-end equipment manufacturing sector.

　　It is understood that the equipment has an excavation diameter of 4.75 meters, an overall length of approximately 252 meters, a total installed power of 3,300 kilowatts, and a service life of up to 20 kilometers.
　　After rolling off the production line, the equipment will shoulder a major mission: the project it will participate in involves a series of adverse geological construction risks, including gas, karst, high ground temperature, rockbursts, soft rock deformation, sudden water inrush, faults, and fractured zones. The construction difficulty is rarely seen in the industry.
　　In light of the construction challenges, CRCC Heavy Industry provided customized solutions for the client and successively overcame “ultra-long-life tunneling technology,” “highly integrated small-diameter TBM system technology,” “rapid passage technology through adverse geology such as faults and fractured zones,” “rear supporting trolley technology adapted to arch support,” and “tunneling technology in high-ground-temperature and rockburst strata,” facilitating smooth project construction.
　　The equipment's rollout in Baotou marks the official entry of CRCC Heavy Industry's full-face tunnel boring machine manufacturing business into the Inner Mongolia region. At the same time, it drives the economic and technological growth of related supporting enterprises, forming a complete industrial chain with international competitiveness.
