Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the tunnel of the Yinshan No. 1 Road project in the Changdong area of Huzhou South Taihu New Area was held at the project site. Tunnel excavation has now begun, marking the entry of all sub-projects into the substantive full-scale construction stage.

　　It is reported that the underpass tunnel is about 900 meters long. The tunnel generally runs west to east, starting from the proposed Baimu Port Bridge on Yinshan No. 1 Road in the west and ending at the intersection of the proposed Zongliu Road and the proposed Yinshan No. 1 Road in the east.

　　The Yinshan No. 1 Road project is a major thoroughfare in the core area of the South Taihu Future City, with a total investment of about 1.2 billion yuan. It starts at the intersection of Wanghu Avenue and Binhu Avenue, runs east through Wuhu Avenue and Yingbin Avenue, and ends at the Niqiaogang Sluice, with a total road length of about 4.04 kilometers. The entire route includes 1 tunnel, 6 bridges, 2 box culverts, and about 1,169 meters of utility tunnel.
