Recently, the joint inspection and maintenance depot of Section 5 of the Xiong'an New Area to Beijing Daxing International Airport Express Line project, constructed by China Construction Second Engineering Bureau North China Company, has been fully topped out.
 

The Xiong'an New Area to Beijing Daxing International Airport Express Line (Beijing-Xiong'an Express Line) has a total length of approximately 86.21 kilometers, with 8 stations and one vehicle depot. China Construction Second Engineering Bureau North China Company constructed the First Sub-division of Section 5 of the project, whose scope includes building construction works comprising the plant-front-area police station, the rail transit command center, the flammable materials warehouse, the general materials warehouse and other individual buildings, as well as the joint inspection and maintenance depot, with a total floor area of 117,900 square meters. Once completed, it will become the "brain center" and "train 4S shop" of the entire line. In the future, high-speed trains will be dispatched and commanded from here, and will return to the depot at night for repair and maintenance. The smooth topping out of the joint inspection and maintenance depot this time marks the full completion of the main structure of the vehicle depot portion of Section 5 of the Beijing-Xiong'an Express Line, which has now formally entered the secondary structure construction stage, laying a solid foundation for the project's efficient performance and for the future completion and opening of the entire Beijing-Xiong'an Express Line.

It is understood that the Beijing-Xiong'an Express Line project is the "one vertical" of the "four verticals and two horizontals" rail transit network of Xiong'an New Area, an important component of the "one trunk with multiple branches" express line network in the New Area's special transportation plan, a key construction project of Xiong'an New Area in 2020 approved by the Central Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Office, and a key transportation infrastructure project to shore up weaknesses serving the relocation of Beijing's non-capital functions. Once completed, the project will become a connecting bond between cities in the *** urban agglomeration, fill the gap between the "high-speed rail and subway" dual structure of the domestic rail transit system, and is of great significance for realizing the one-hour commuting circle between Beijing and Xiong'an, enhancing Xiong'an New Area's attractiveness and carrying capacity for the relocation of Beijing's non-capital functions, promoting Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, and supporting the construction of the Xiong'an *** New Area.
