Recently, the Office of the Pingdingshan Municipal People's Government issued the list of the first batch of key construction projects in Pingdingshan City for 2024.

　　The 2024 Pingdingshan key projects cover nine major fields, including innovation-driven upgrading projects, advanced manufacturing projects, modern service industry projects, modern agriculture projects, new infrastructure projects, new urbanization projects, major infrastructure projects, ecological and environmental protection projects, and social undertakings projects.

　　The list shows that multiple major infrastructure projects are included, such as the Pingdingshan Lushan Airport project, the Jiaozuo to Pingdingshan section of the Hohhot-Nanning High-Speed Railway, the Pingdingshan section of the Luoyang-Pingdingshan-Luohe-Zhoukou High-Speed Railway, the Xuchang to Pingdingshan section of the Zhengzhou-Nanyang Expressway, and the Yexian to Lushan Expressway project.

　　The Office of the Pingdingshan Municipal People's Government requires that advancing the construction of key projects be taken as the top priority of economic work and grasped firmly and well; illegal acts that affect or obstruct construction, such as forced loading and unloading, forced buying and selling, theft and sabotage, arbitrary charges, and arbitrary fines, must be severely cracked down on in accordance with the law.

　　The principal leaders of the governments (management committees) of all counties (cities and districts), all departments of the municipal government, and relevant units are the first responsible persons for the construction of municipal key projects, and the leaders in charge are the principal responsible persons. They must ensure that each level takes responsibility for the level below and that implementation is carried out at every level, make overall arrangements for securing project funds, strengthen coordination and supervision of the external construction environment for projects, and properly resolve issues such as project land acquisition and demolition, resettlement compensation, relations involving agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, and supporting project construction.
