At 0:58 a.m. on March 25, with the order given, the closure construction of the (40+72+40) m continuous girder of the Xin'anjiang Grand Bridge crossing Meicheng Avenue on the Jinjian Railway of Zhejiang Communications Group officially began, with concrete continuously poured into the rebar at the closure section joint. After overnight efforts by the construction site staff, the **continuous girder of the Xin'anjiang Grand Bridge on the Jinjian Railway of Zhejiang Communications Group was successfully closed**, marking that the superstructure construction of the Xin'anjiang Grand Bridge on the Jinjian Railway has entered an "acceleration" mode.
"The continuous girder closed this time spans Meicheng Avenue and Yangmei Line, with a total bridge length of 153.5 m. It is adjacent to an operating railway line, making construction highly difficult," said a relevant person in charge of the Jinjian Railway Construction Command of Zhejiang Communications Group. Meicheng Avenue is the most important traffic artery connecting Meicheng Town with the outside world, with two-way four lanes. In view of difficulties such as heavy traffic flow, to ensure the construction safety of the continuous girder, the cantilever casting method with form traveler was adopted for this continuous girder construction, and bottom closure and full side protection were added to the form traveler structure to ensure construction safety. During construction, in view of the difficulties of high girder section height, dense rebar, and linear control in concrete construction, the command joined forces with the design, construction, and supervision units to plan ahead, organize meticulously, and manage scientifically, and carried out multiple special trainings and briefings, requiring real-time monitoring of the girder structure during construction and accurate prediction of girder height and dimensions, so as to ensure smooth girder alignment and compliance with design requirements for successful closure. At the same time, three-level safety briefings were strictly implemented during construction, with emphasis on technical and safety briefings for relevant construction personnel of the work teams at each procedure, ensuring safe and orderly on-site construction.
It is reported that after completion, the Jinjian Railway will connect four lines—the Hangzhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway, the Hefei-Fuzhou High-speed Railway, the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, and the Jinhua-Wenzhou Railway—closely linking multiple economic circles in the Yangtze River Delta region, including the "Wanjiang Economic Belt," the "Huangshan Tourism Economic Circle," the "Central Zhejiang Urban Agglomeration," and the "Wenzhou Economic Circle."
