Recently, a construction site in Tanku Community, Danan Town, Muchuan County, Leshan City has been especially busy. This is the construction site of the tourist passenger terminal for the Longxikou Reservoir Area Muxi River Tourist Waterway Construction Project. Large excavators are moving back and forth, and workers are hurrying to build the main structure of the visitor center. The site is busy yet orderly.

　　"At present, we have completed the 150-meter front retaining wall of the waterway tourist terminal, as well as part of the dredging work. Next, we will carry out the building construction and slope filling works for the tourist passenger terminal," introduced Liu Jian, deputy production manager of the Muxi River Tourist Waterway Construction Project.

　　Meanwhile, at the retaining wall construction site of the Luojiaba Operation Area of the Longxikou Reservoir Area Muxi River Tourist Waterway Construction Project in Chalin Village, Danan Town, workers distributed across various operation points are seizing the dry season to speed up construction. Several large machines such as excavators and bulldozers, along with concrete mixer trucks, are shuttling back and forth.

　　"The retaining wall and No. 3 revetment in the Luojiaba Operation Area have completed 30,000 cubic meters of concrete pouring, with 20,000 cubic meters remaining. The remaining concrete pouring is expected to be completed in June. The entire project has completed 60% of the total works, and the main works are expected to be completed in June, with the project ready for completion acceptance in September," Liu Jian introduced.

　　"Next, we will fully cooperate with the construction unit, strictly control safety, quality, and progress, and go all out to accelerate the construction of the project, striving to complete it on schedule," said Wang Ruihu, a staff member of the Investment Management Section of Leshan Xinmu Port and Shipping Investment and Operation Co., Ltd.

　　The Longxikou Reservoir Area Muxi River Tourist Waterway Construction Project has a total investment of 3.52 billion yuan. Relying on the Minjiang River Longxikou Navigation-Power Hub Project, the project plans to build the Luojiaba Operation Area of Leshan Port and a port-side industrial park at the 14.5-kilometer point of the Muxi River tourist waterway, and simultaneously build a 25.8-kilometer collection and distribution expressway. It will become an important convenient channel for the Daliangshan and Xiaoliangshan Yi areas to reach rivers and the sea in the future, and an important node for undertaking industrial transfer from the east. After the project is completed, Muchuan County will have a high-grade waterway and a thousand-ton-class wharf, which will play a positive role in promoting Leshan City's acceleration of building a "road and waterway combined transport" transportation system and advancing the integrated development of "transport + tourism" in the region.
