On March 11, as the shield machine cutterhead slowly began to turn, the shield machine on the right line of the section from Wenhua Square Station to Gongnong Dalu Station of the Changchun Rail Transit Line 5 Project (Section 6) undertaken by Chengtong Company of China Railway No.2 Engineering Group was successfully launched, marking that the project has entered the stage of dual-line tunneling and laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.

　　The right line of the section from Wenhua Square Station to Gongnong Dalu Station has a total length of 1,260 meters, a minimum curve radius of 350 meters, and a tunnel crown depth of 17.99 to 20.85 meters. After being assembled in the shaft at the small-mileage end of Wenhua Square Station, the shield machine was moved forward as a whole without excavation to be launched from the mined section, passed underneath Exit C1 of Line 2, and was received in the cross passage at the large-mileage end of Gongnong Dalu Station, where it was dismantled, translated, and lifted out.

　　To ensure the smooth advancement of the shield on the right line of the section, the project department meticulously completed preliminary planning work such as shield machine maintenance and modification and temporary site facilities, and before launch sorted out the conditions for shield launching and crossing risk sources, formulated safe and effective countermeasures for various construction risks, optimized the construction plan and resource allocation, and coordinated the orderly advancement of each process. Through unremitting efforts, the project successfully overcame difficulties such as machine installation and debugging in cold weather, in-station translation, shield attitude positioning and reaction system installation and reinforcement in the small space of the mined passage, and successfully passed the acceptance of shield launching conditions on March 10, 2024.

　　At present, all preparatory work for the launch of the shield machine on the right line of the section from Wenhua Square Station to Gongnong Dalu Station and for construction at the risk source of passing underneath Exit C1 of Line 2 has been completed, construction safety measures have been implemented in place, and the personnel, mechanical equipment, raw materials, construction techniques and methods, and construction environment at the site all meet construction requirements. Next, the project department will strictly implement the 24-hour duty and shift leadership system to ensure the safe and stable advancement of the shield machine and achieve section breakthrough on schedule.
