At 10 a.m. on March 13, at the construction site of the Bengbu Yan'an Road (Huaihe River) Bridge, the first pile of the main pier (Pier 21# Pile 24# of the main bridge) constructed by China Railway No.4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREC4) was successfully poured.

　　The reporter learned at the site that the first pile of the main pier of the Yan'an Road Huaihe River Bridge is designed with a pile length of 48 m and a pile diameter of 2.8 m. This successful pouring laid a solid foundation for the smooth subsequent implementation of the bridge's over-water pile foundation construction, and also marked that the project's over-water main pier has fully entered the pile foundation pouring stage.

　　To ensure the smooth completion of pile foundation pouring, the CREC4 Yan'an Road Bridge Project Department optimized the construction plan, rationally allocated construction machinery and personnel, and comprehensively strengthened material support to ensure the safety, quality, and schedule progress of the first pile pouring.

　　At the pile foundation pouring site, from drilling, hole formation, hole cleaning, and lowering of the reinforcement cage to concrete pouring, management personnel from all project parties and on-site technical personnel exercised full-process control, strictly controlled safety and quality, ensured smooth connection of all procedures, and guaranteed the smooth completion of the first pile pouring.

　　The Bengbu Yan'an Road (Huaihe River) Bridge is the 9th modern bridge crossing the Huaihe River within Bengbu's urban area. The bridge project route has a total length of 2,733 meters, of which the Huaihe River super-large bridge is 2,270 meters long, and the river-crossing section is a cable-stayed bridge with two towers and two cable planes, 840 meters long, with a main span of 420 meters, making it the bridge with the largest main span in the Huaihe River basin.
