On March 12, the left tube of the Dajia Tunnel in the Gutian section of the Ninggu Expressway was successfully holed through. This is the first tunnel to be completed in the Gutian section of the Ninggu Expressway, marking phased progress in the construction of an important controlling project along the entire line.

　　According to reports, the Gutian section of the Ninggu Expressway includes a total of 7 tunnels. The Dajia Tunnel is located within Dajia Town, Gutian County, connecting the Tanshuyuan Bridge and the No. 1 Bridge on the main line of the Dajia Interchange. It is a separated left-right, two-way, four-lane tunnel, with a left tube 925 meters long and a right tube 930 meters long. It is a medium-length tunnel, with a total of 2 pedestrian cross passages and 1 vehicular passage arranged between the left and right tubes. The entire tunnel is mainly composed of tuff lava, primarily Class III and Class IV surrounding rock.

　　It is understood that after the subsequent secondary lining construction of the Dajia Tunnel is completed, it will also serve as a transport passage for the T-beams of the Tanshuyuan Bridge, which can reduce transport time by 30 minutes, greatly accelerate the erection speed of the T-beams for the Tanshuyuan Bridge, and lay a solid foundation for the completion and opening of the entire line.

　　"The project plans to complete the construction task for the bridge segments of the No. 1 Bridge on the main line of the Dajia Interchange by the end of March, achieve holing-through of the Shihou Tunnel in May, and strive to complete the holing-through task for the key node Kunli Tunnel by September," said Dai Juntao, Executive Deputy Manager of the C1 contract section project of the Gutian section of the Ninggu Expressway. Next, all employees of the project department will, with hundredfold confidence, high morale, clear goals, and practical actions, accomplish all construction tasks for 2024.

　　After the Ninggu Expressway is completed, it will greatly shorten the distance between Gutian and Ningde, cover a population of more than 300,000, and be of great significance in promoting regional interaction, strengthening industrial division of labor, advancing connectivity, and deepening mountain-sea cooperation.
