As the weather warms and spring approaches, localities are seizing the farming season to advance spring plowing and preparation in a comprehensive and orderly manner.

In Longyan, Fujian, automatic seedling machines complete a series of steps—spreading soil, sowing, and watering—in sequence, markedly improving seedling efficiency. Compared with traditional wet seedling cultivation, one seedling cycle is shortened by 4 to 7 days.

Smart agriculture is giving spring plowing a "speed boost." Winter wheat is now gradually entering the greening stage. In high-standard farmland in Jingyang, Shaanxi, under the scheduling of professional staff, plant protection drones spray pesticides evenly and precisely onto the wheat fields. This efficient and convenient weeding method makes wheat field management much easier.

Zhang Ang, a major grain grower in Miaodi Village, Zhongzhang Town, Jingyang, Shaanxi: In previous years we used manual spraying, which took a long time and cost relatively much. This year we used drone operations, and in about four or five hours the work on my 2,000 mu of wheat fields was basically completed, and it also saved money.

Chongqing has implemented a grain yield improvement action this year, building and upgrading 200 mu of high-standard farmland—wait, 200 mu is wrong; it should be 2 million mu—and is expected to put 1.06 million units of agricultural machinery such as land preparation machines and seeders into use, seizing a "good start" in spring agricultural production. In Fuxin, Liaoning, the local government is accelerating construction of water supply pumping stations and actively promoting the application of water-saving irrigation technology to make full preparations for the upcoming spring irrigation.

In Mianyang, Sichuan, agricultural supply through-train services deliver materials needed for spring production to rural supply stations, making it convenient for mountain residents to buy nearby. Agricultural technicians at all levels have also gone into villages and towns to provide guidance services for spring plowing and field management, laying a solid foundation for stable and increased grain output in spring.
