2024 Rotary Drilling Rig Market Analysis Shows Significant Export Growth and Sharp Decline in Used Equipment

　　The sales data of rotary drilling rigs in February 2024 revealed some fluctuations within the industry, bringing new challenges and opportunities for its development. According to the data, the total single-month sales of rotary drilling rigs in February reached 196 units, a year-on-year decrease of 23.1% and a month-on-month decrease of 2%. Specifically, new machine sales totaled 156 units, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7% but a month-on-month increase of 4%; while used machine sales totaled 40 units, a year-on-year decrease of 57% and a month-on-month decrease of 20%. Of particular note is the significant growth in exports in February, with new machine exports rising 34.2% year-on-year to 102 units. This indicates the growing competitiveness and demand for rotary drilling rig products in the international market, bringing some positive signals to the industry.

　　In terms of cumulative sales data from January to February, the total sales of rotary drilling rigs were 396 units, a year-on-year decrease of 13.3%. Specifically, new machine sales totaled 306 units, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%; while used machine sales were only 90 units, a year-on-year decrease of 48.9%. This indicates that although overall sales have declined, there is still some room for growth in the new machine market, while relatively speaking, demand in the used machine market has weakened.
