At 16:00 on March 8, the Huanggongping Bridge of the G59 Zhangjiajie-Guanzhuang Expressway in Qinglang Township, Yuanling County, Huaihua City, achieved full-width completion. This is the first bridge with more than 20 spans erected in the Zhang-Guan Expressway Section 2 project, and another successful example since work resumed after the New Year, marking a phased achievement in the project's critical construction.
Zhang-Guan Section 2 is located deep in the mountains of Yuanling, with winding roads and rugged access paths, making construction highly difficult. The main line is 9.959 km long in total, with 23 bridges, 1 tunnel, and 1 service area, and a bridge-tunnel ratio as high as 67%. The Huanggongping Bridge crosses rivers and mountains, with some pile foundations and pier columns located on the mountain body and at its foot, making construction transport extremely inconvenient; it is one of the project's controlling and difficult works. The left carriageway of the Huanggongping Bridge is designed as 18×30+3×40m prestressed concrete assembled T-beams, with a total length of 667.5 m; the right carriageway is designed as 17×30+4×40m prestressed concrete assembled T-beams, with a total length of 677.5 m.
During construction, in the face of tight schedules, heavy tasks, and high construction difficulty, the owner Zhang-Guan Company and the **Supervision Office, together with the project department, carefully planned and scientifically deployed, and formulated detailed and feasible erection plans, safety measures, and emergency response plans according to actual site conditions. Safety technical briefings and safety education and training were conducted for the construction teams, and construction risk points were comprehensively investigated. At the same time, technical personnel were deployed throughout the process to support beam erection, closely monitoring construction milestones and fully organizing construction in all stages such as transport, erection, placement, and adjustment, ensuring refined operation, controllable safety, and efficient implementation from beam lifting and transport to beam placement.
Up to now, Zhang-Guan Expressway Section 2 has completed 97 20m box girders, 243 30m T-beams, and 139 40m T-beams, with a cumulative total of 479 beam segments cast and 426 beam segments erected.
The full-width completion of the Huanggongping Bridge is another major milestone in the construction of Zhang-Guan Section 2. The project department will closely focus on the construction of the Zhang-Guan Expressway, strengthen construction organization, refine safety and quality management, strictly control progress, and complete subsequent construction tasks with high standards, high quality, and a high level, contributing the strength of "Zhang-Guan people" to building a project that satisfies the people.
