Recently, the first underground diaphragm wall reinforcement cage for the Jinan Aerospace Avenue Yellow River Crossing Tunnel Project (Phase I), invested in and constructed by Jinan Urban Construction Group, was successfully hoisted into place, laying a solid foundation for subsequent main structure construction and shield launching.

　　The Jinan Aerospace Avenue Yellow River Crossing Tunnel Project (Phase I) is located in Jinan High-tech Zone and the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation. It starts at the intersection of Aerospace Avenue and County Road X012 (Xingfu Road) in the east, runs westward along the under-construction Aerospace Avenue, passes beneath the planned Binhuang Avenue and the Yellow River, and ends at the receiving shaft on the west bank.

　　The project has a total length of 3,888 meters, including a shield-driven section of 3,245 meters. It is designed as a twin-tube, single-level structure, with segment outer diameter of 14.5 meters and inner diameter of 13.3 meters. The upper portion carries dual-direction six-lane traffic, while the lower portion accommodates evacuation passages and a utility tunnel. The construction of this project will play an important role in connecting both banks of the Yellow River, building the skeleton road network of the northern part of the city, opening a new westward relief channel for the airport, and driving development along the route.

　　The first diaphragm wall hoisted this time weighs approximately 60 tons and serves as the retaining structure of the shield launching shaft. A total of 87 diaphragm walls are designed for the east-bank launching working shaft and the cut-and-cover section, with a maximum embedment depth of 45 meters. The project is planned to use approximately 3,410 tons of rebar and 17,290 cubic meters of concrete.
