On the morning of March 10, the Second Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference concluded at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi and Han Zheng took seats on the rostrum.
The Second Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference completed all items on its agenda and concluded on the morning of March 10 at the Great Hall of the People. The session called on all participating units, organizations at all levels and CPPCC members to unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, work with one heart and pool wisdom and strength, and keep opening up new prospects for CPPCC work in the new era.
The session was presided over by Wang Huning, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee. Vice Chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee Shi Taifeng, Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Wang Yong, Zhou Qiang, Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai, Ho Hau Wah, Leung Chun-ying, Bater, Su Hui, Shao Hong, Gao Yunlong, Chen Wu, Mu Hong, Xian Hui, Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Xinzhi, Jiang Zuojun, He Baoxiang, Wang Guangqian, Qin Boyong, Zhu Yongxin and Yang Zhen took seats in the front row on the rostrum.

The closing meeting began at 9 a.m. Wang Huning announced that 2,162 members should attend the Second Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and 2,085 were present, which conforms to the required number.
The session adopted the resolution of the Second Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on the work report of the Standing Committee, the resolution of the Second Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on the report on proposals since the First Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, the report of the Proposals Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on the review of proposals of the Second Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, and the political resolution of the Second Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.
In his speech, Wang Huning said that the Second Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee was a conference that held high the banner, focused on real work and forged ahead in unity, gathering positive energy and boosting morale. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping and other Party and state leaders attended the opening and closing meetings, visited members and participated in joint group discussions, and discussed state affairs together with the members. All members earnestly studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, including those at the joint group meeting with members from the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the science and technology sector, and the environmental and resources sector, held in-depth discussions on the government work report and other reports, carefully deliberated documents including the work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee and the report on proposals, actively offered advice and suggestions, and extensively built consensus, achieving fruitful results in political consultation. All members spoke highly of the past year, in which the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core united and led the whole Party and the people of all ethnic groups across the country in tenacious striving and courageous advance, successfully achieved the main expected targets of economic and social development, and steered the giant ship of "China" through waves and winds. All members more deeply understood that the "Two Establishments" are of decisive significance for us in responding to various risks and challenges and advancing the cause of the Party and the country.
Wang Huning said that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and also the 75th anniversary of the founding of the CPPCC. Over the past 75 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the CPPCC has actively devoted itself to the great practice of establishing New China, building New China, exploring the path of reform and realizing the Chinese Dream, and has gone through a glorious course. The CPPCC must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly study and understand General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thought on strengthening and improving CPPCC work, uphold the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, adhere to the organic integration of Party leadership, the united front and consultative democracy, uphold the two major themes of unity and democracy, carry forward fine traditions, keep political responsibility firmly in mind, improve the level of political consultation, democratic supervision and participation in and deliberation of state affairs, always plan and carry out work under the overall situation of the Party and the country's work, and perform functions and gather strength by closely centering on advancing Chinese modernization. It is necessary to improve political standing, implement the overall leadership of the Communist Party of China in CPPCC work and reflect it in practical actions, and unite and guide all parties, groups and people from all ethnic groups and all sectors participating in the CPPCC to unswervingly listen to the Party and follow the Party. It is necessary to focus on key tasks and boost Chinese modernization with high-quality advice and suggestions. It is necessary to uphold great unity and great alliance and extensively gather strength for advancing Chinese modernization.
Wang Huning said that we should unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, write practical work, responsibility and commitment on the new journey of advancing Chinese modernization, and strive in unity to comprehensively build a modern socialist country and comprehensively advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Foreign diplomatic envoys in China, overseas Chinese and others were invited to attend the closing meeting.
