On March 6, in anticipation of the upcoming 114th "March 8" International Women's Day, the Qinghai Provincial People's Procuratorate and the Qinghai Provincial Women's Federation jointly held a press conference to report on the work of the 2023 Qinghai Province special action on "Focusing on Children in Difficulty and Women in Hardship and Strengthening Special Judicial Assistance," and released nine relevant typical cases.

　　Sun Wensheng, a full-time member of the Procuratorial Committee of the Qinghai Provincial People's Procuratorate, introduced that since 2023, the Qinghai Provincial People's Procuratorate and the Qinghai Provincial Women's Federation have fully leveraged the complementary functional advantages of procuratorial organs and women's federation organizations, focused on the urgent difficulties and anxieties of the public, and jointly carried out the special action on "Focusing on Children in Difficulty and Women in Hardship and Strengthening Special Judicial Assistance" (hereinafter referred to as the special action), continuously increasing assistance and support for women and children in difficulty caused by cases, providing diversified assistance to a total of 236 women and children in difficulty and disbursing assistance funds of 5.4964 million yuan.

　　It is reported that after the deployment of the special action, the Qinghai Provincial People's Procuratorate and the Qinghai Provincial Women's Federation clarified the objectives, tasks and specific methods and measures of the special action from four aspects. Procuratorial organs and women's federation organizations in all cities and prefectures of the province formulated implementation plans for the special action, further refined the content of the action, established a diversified assistance and relief mechanism featuring regular consultation, information sharing, clue transfer, and collaboration and coordination, and opened a "green channel" for judicial assistance to women and children in difficulty.

　　At the same time, Qinghai procuratorial organs carried out a case-by-case screening of 984 cases involving minors handled since 2023, mainly criminal cases, supplemented by civil, administrative and public interest litigation cases, comprehensively sorting out and understanding the situation of women and minors, especially children, who suffered harm due to unlawful infringement and their living difficulties, and immediately initiating assistance procedures for those meeting the conditions for judicial assistance.

　　"Aiming at the goal that 'all minors in difficulty and women in hardship who meet the conditions for assistance should be provided with timely assistance and support,' we and women's federation organizations carried out the special action targeting 11 categories of groups from 8 aspects, striving to create a good atmosphere in which the whole society pays attention to, cares about and shows concern for national judicial assistance work for minors in difficulty and women in hardship," said Sun Wensheng.

　　In addition, to ensure that assistance is in place and effective, Qinghai procuratorial organs and women's federation organizations have worked together to promote the transformation from "single" judicial assistance to "diversified" assistance and support, strengthen organic connection with social assistance, introduce care from multiple parties, and carry out diversified assistance in aspects such as psychological counseling, follow-up help and education, family education guidance, and schooling in other locations.
