At present, all 11 main construction sites along the northern extension of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 18 have been mobilized, and all 8 stations have entered main construction. Among them, the first-phase cover slab construction at Caiyuan Road Station has been completed, while the remaining 7 stations are carrying out main excavation, support, and lining construction.

　　The northern extension of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 18 starts from Xiaoshizi Station in the east and ends at Fuhua Road Station of the first-phase Line 18 project in the west, with a total length of about 10 kilometers and 8 underground stations.

　　Once completed, the northern extension of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 18 will fill the rail transit gap in the lower half of the Yuzhong Peninsula, connecting Hualongqiao, Daping, Caiyuanba, Qixinggang, Shibati, Kaixuan Road, and Xiaoshizi, and will become the second corridor linking the Dadukou cluster, Lijiatuo cluster, and Dayangshi cluster to the Jiefangbei area.
