Recently, the shield machine for the right line of the Chengli section of Bid Section 02 of the eastward extension of Nanchang Metro Line 2, constructed by China Construction Communications, was successfully received. With this, new progress and breakthroughs have been made in the overall construction of the Line 2 eastward extension project.

　　The right line of the section from Chengnan Avenue North Station to Lixiang Station is about 677 meters long in total. The shield machine was launched from the west area of Lixiang Station and received and lifted out of the shaft in the east area of Chengnan Avenue North Station. During tunneling, it successively passed beneath three DN160 gas pipelines, with a minimum vertical distance of 5.68 meters between the pipelines and the tunnel, resulting in high construction risk and considerable management difficulty.

　　To ensure the smooth reception of the shield machine, the on-site project management team actively communicated with all participating parties and adjusted the reception method, reducing the construction risk of reception. During construction, the on-site project department adhered to scientific management as the core, repeatedly invited experts to conduct on-site repeated verification and investigation and risk assessment, focusing on reviewing construction organization and plans, shield construction settlement control, and other key and difficult points. At the same time, it strengthened monitoring and used actual data for macro analysis to adjust relevant tunneling parameters of shield construction, ensuring that the entire process was safe and controllable and that tunneling proceeded smoothly. Through the joint efforts of all participating personnel, the shield machine was finally successfully received while ensuring quality and safety.
