Recently, the Jiaolin Reservoirengineering projectin Bobai County was approved by the State Council and received a land-use approval from the Ministry of Natural Resources, with a total approved land area of 2,624 mu. At this point, the land-use approval work for the project's construction land has been successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for accelerating project construction.

Jiaolin Reservoir is located in Longtan Town and Songwang Town, Bobai County, Yulin City. The river it sits on is the Jiaolin River, a tributary of the Longtan River that flows independently into the sea, with a basin area of 166.7 km². The project is a medium-sized water conservancy hub project combining functions such as industrial water supply, irrigation, and flood discharge. It is one of the key water source projects in the five southwestern provinces and has been included in the key water source project list of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Water Resources. The total project investment is approximately 750 million yuan (including 80 million yuan of central funds).

It is understood that the main task of Jiaolin Reservoir is to provide water for production and daily life to the Yulin Longtan Industrial Park. The Yulin Longtan Industrial Park is the bridgehead and main battlefield for Yulin City's development of a sea-oriented economy, and is also a trillion-yuan-level industrial park that Yulin City is focusing on building. As the park gradually develops and grows, the problem of water resource shortage has become a bottleneck for the sustainable economic and social development of the park. In order to achieve a rational allocation of regional water resources, provide safe, high-quality, and reliable water sources to the park and surrounding residents, and ensure the water demand for the park's development, Yulin City decided to build this reservoir.

During the land guarantee stage of the Jiaolin Reservoir project, the Yulin Municipal Natural Resources Bureau, in response to difficulties such as the tight project schedule and the shortage of cultivated land occupation-compensation balance indicators, organized personnel at the first opportunity to study the newly issued policies, promptly studied the key points and implementation direction of the policies, actively explored new methods and measures, and made full and flexible use of the policies. Ultimately, by applying for advance land use, it solved the problem of early site access for construction; by adopting the inflow-outflow balance policy and using cultivated land that flowed in through routine changes to balance the cultivated land submerged by the reservoir, it reduced costs and consumption and saved about 170 million yuan in land-use costs. At the same time, through the three-level synchronous coordination of the autonomous region, city, and county, it advanced the handling of historical遗留 issues and the adjustment and supplementary designation of basic farmland in an integrated manner, making every effort to speed up and improve efficiency. It took only 2 months for the land-use approval materials to be submitted to the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the land-use approval was recently obtained from the Ministry of Natural Resources, laying a solid foundation for accelerating project construction.

According to the project owner, the water conveyance pipeline project of Jiaolin Reservoir has been completed by 40%, and the main dam project has been completed by more than 60%. It is planned to be completed and put into use in May 2025.
