Recently, the 2024 Guangzhou key projects were officially announced, with over 80 projects in Zengcheng District included.

　　In terms of sector distribution, among the city's 2024 key construction projects, 62 involve Zengcheng, including transportation infrastructure, energy infrastructure, urban construction, water conservancy, information and technology infrastructure, strategic emerging industries, and advanced manufacturing. In the 2024 key construction preparatory projects, 21 involve Zengcheng. Among all projects involving Zengcheng, industrial construction projects account for a significant proportion, with 43 projects, reflecting Zengcheng's adherence to 'industry first, manufacturing-based district'.

　　Specifically, in transportation infrastructure, projects such as the Guangzhou-Shanwei Railway (Guangzhou section) are in the completion stage; projects including the Guangzhou Zengcheng-Foshan Expressway (Zengcheng-Tianhe section), the Huizhou-Zhaoqing Expressway Huicheng-Zengcheng section (Guangzhou section), the Zengcheng District Lisang Highway (Guanghui Expressway to Jianglong Bridge section) reconstruction project, the National Highway G324 Yanta Bridge demolition and reconstruction project, the Guangzhou Eastern Transportation Hub Center Bay Area Connection Supporting Project, and the Guangzhou Eastern Railway-Port Intermodal Hub (Guangzhou International Logistics Industry Hub) Phase I will continue to be promoted; new projects started this year include the new Guangzhou Railway Hub Guangzhou East Station to Xintang Station Line 5 and 6 project (Line 5 and 6); the Foshan-Guangzhou-Dongguan Intercity (Guangzhou section), the Zengguan-Panyu Expressway, the Provincial Highway S256 Jianglong Bridge reconstruction and expansion project, the Zengcheng District Chenjialin Road North Extension Project, and the Zengcheng District Chuangyu Road West Extension Project are listed in the preparatory project plan. Among them, the highly anticipated Xintang-Baiyun Airport-Guangzhou North Station Intercity Rail Transit (Xinbaiguang Intercity) will be completed and put into initial operation.

　　In water conservancy, projects such as the Zengcheng District Phoenix City-Feicui Oasis Area Flood Control and Drainage Comprehensive Improvement Project and the Xintang Town Yonghe River Storage Area Construction Project are in the completion stage; the Zengcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone Xiancun Park Xifu River Embankment Standard Improvement (Xiancun Park section) and Huanyuan Road Construction Project, the Zengcheng District Zhongxin Town Jinkeng River Channel Improvement Project, and the Zengcheng District Dafengmen Reservoir Expansion Project are new projects; while the continued project is the Zengcheng District Southern Water Plant and Supporting Pipeline Network Construction Project.

　　In strategic emerging industries and advanced manufacturing, more than 20 projects such as the Guangzhou Guoxian Technology Co., Ltd. Visionox 6th Generation Flexible AMOLED Module Production Line Project, the 12-inch Advanced MEMS Sensor and Specialty Process Wafer Manufacturing Mass Production Line New Project, the Haige Unmanned Information Industry Base Project, and the Zhongnan High-Tech High-end Electronic Information Innovation Park Construction Project will continue to be promoted; more than 10 projects including the Xiancun Town New Energy Pan-Semiconductor Industry Base Project, the GAC Components Zengcheng Auto Parts Industrial Park Construction Project, the Food Cold Chain Smart Port, and the Zengcheng District Denim Garment Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Base Project will advance preliminary work.

　　In social livelihood, the Guangzhou Science and Education City Phase I, the Guangzhou Longcheng International Rehabilitation Medical Center, and the Guangzhou Municipal Youth Football Training Base are continued projects; the Guangzhou Longcheng International Rehabilitation Medical Center Phase II plans to carry out preliminary work this year.
