On the evening of March 3, with the final batch of concrete poured into the pile hole, the first bored pile of the South Channel Bridge of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge—the world's longest cross-sea high-speed railway bridge—was successfully cast, marking that the construction of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge has officially entered the 'fast lane'.

According to reports, the pile foundation hole depth exceeds 145 meters. During the bored pile construction, the contractor adopted a combined process of 'rotary drilling for pilot hole through overburden' and 'reverse circulation drilling for hole formation', ensuring the verticality of the borehole, and used high-quality bentonite and other slurry materials to ensure concrete quality.

The Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge is a controlling project of the Nantong-Ningbo High-Speed Railway, including three channel bridges (north, middle, and south) and approach bridges across the embankment, sea, and shallow shoal areas. With a total length of 29.2 kilometers and a design of double-track ballastless track at 350 km/h, it is currently the world's longest and highest-standard high-speed railway cross-sea bridge under construction. Once completed, it will set multiple world records and have milestone significance in the field of global high-speed railway bridge construction.

It is understood that the Nantong-Ningbo High-Speed Railway is an important part of the coastal corridor of China's 'Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal' high-speed railway network. Once the project is completed, it will promote a more complete road network structure in the Yangtze River Delta region, greatly facilitate travel for people along the line, and be of great significance for advancing the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
