On February 26, the ** shield tunneling section of the Hebei section of Beijing Rail Transit Line 22 — the Shenchao right-line shield tunneling section — was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the full completion and opening of Line 22.
It is understood that Beijing Rail Transit Line 22 is the first inter-provincial urban rail transit line between Beijing and Hebei and the first demonstration line in the field of urban rail transit for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with a total length of about 81.2 km, of which the underground section is about 53.8 km, passing through Chaoyang District of Beijing, Tongzhou District of Beijing, Sanhe City of Hebei Province, Pinggu District of Beijing and other places. After completion, the three northern counties of Langfang and Pinggu District of Beijing will be connected to the Beijing urban rail transit network, and the radiating and driving role of Beijing's sub-center in the three northern counties of Langfang will be further enhanced, and regional industrial transformation and upgrading will be boosted by strengthening the docking of industrial resources and expanding service functions.
Li Xiaoying, director of the Safety Production Department IV of the Rapid Rail Company under Beijing Infrastructure Investment Rail Transit, introduced that Line 22 is the first innovative line in China that integrates an urban rail express line and a regional express line, and reserves conditions for interconnection with the intercity network to achieve "multi-network integration." After Line 22 is completed and opened, the three northern counties of Langfang will reach Beijing's sub-center in as fast as 9 minutes, and the shortest time to the CBD area of Beijing's city center (Dongdaqiao Station) will be about 32 minutes, which will effectively ease the traffic pressure on cross-boundary roads and greatly improve the travel efficiency and happiness of cross-boundary commuters.
"The ** shield tunneling section of the Hebei section — the Shenchao right-line shield tunneling section — has a total length of 1,794.69 meters. The shield tunneling work in this section started on August 23, 2023 and lasted 187 days." Leng Xueyan, chief engineer of Rail Transit Line 22 of CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., introduced that as of now, the construction of Line 22 is being comprehensively advanced, and the six shield tunneling machines in the Hebei section have cumulatively excavated 5,000 rings, exceeding 8 kilometers. As of the end of January, the main structure of stations along the entire Line 22 was 38.3% complete, and the main structure of sections was 15.4% complete.
