In 2023, it produced 240,000 complete vehicles and completed an output value of 27.65 billion yuan. It is expected to produce more than 300,000 complete vehicles and complete an output value of 33 billion yuan this year. "This year, our production base in the Start-up Area will add some export models, and we hope to achieve new breakthroughs in exports," Xu Lei, general manager of BYD Group in Shandong, told reporters.

Among them, the 110kV power transmission and transformation project, water intake and drainage project, and wharf project have completed construction and entered the preparation stage for final acceptance, while the plant front area project and receiving station project have entered the final construction sprint stage," said Chen Le, head of the Engineering Management Department. According to the schedule requirements, the Phase I project will undergo pipeline pressure testing, cold insulation construction, and equipment commissioning, and is expected to reach production conditions in October this year.

The total investment of the project is 350 million yuan, mainly for the development and utilization of high-performance membrane materials for water electrolysis hydrogen production and energy storage. After all are completed and put into production, it can achieve an annual output value of 4 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 500 million yuan, which is of great significance for serving the hydrogen use in green smelting, green chemical industry, and other fields in Rizhao City.
　　Building characteristic industries led by innovation with higher quality and cultivating sources of economic growth with stronger responsibility are among the key tasks of Rizhao City this year.
