　　On February 19, the first working day of the Year of the Dragon, the steel truss girder of the main navigation channel at Pier #6 of the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge completed its first hoisting of the Year of the Dragon.

　　It is reported that to ensure the safe and smooth progress of this hoisting operation, under the unified command of the Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration, the Changzhou Maritime Safety Administration strengthened on-site traffic management and enhanced coordination and linkage with the Zhenjiang and Zhangjiagang VTS Centers and the Taizhou and Jiangyin VTS Centers, ensuring the dual safety of the bridge hoisting construction and navigation.

　　The Changtai Yangtze River Bridge is a heavyweight bridge boasting two world "No. 1s" and four world "firsts." The section south of the mid-span of the main navigation channel bridge comprises a total of 44 segments, which are produced in 13 rounds at the factory. To date, the shipment, transportation, hoisting and erection of 37 segments have been completed, totaling approximately 55,000 tons.

　　Relying on the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, the construction unit has established a new steel bridge intelligent manufacturing model centered on the "five lines and one system": an intelligent plate blanking and cutting production line, an intelligent plate unit assembly and welding production line, an intelligent steel truss girder member manufacturing production line, an intelligent general assembly production line, an intelligent coating production line, and an intelligent workshop manufacturing execution management and control system. This comprehensively enhances the automation, digitalization, networking and intelligent manufacturing level of steel truss girder production, advances the development of China's bridge manufacturing toward informatization and intelligence, and fully promotes the transformation and upgrading of the steel truss girder manufacturing industry.
