Recently, multiple brand-new SANY National Stage IV rotary drilling rigs appeared at the construction project of the elevated bridge on the Hangzhou Yaqian section of National Highway G104 in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, providing support for pile foundation construction.

Project Name:Elevated Bridge on the Hangzhou Yaqian Section of National Highway 104

Construction Overview:This contract section is 3.9 kilometers long, of which the elevated bridge is 3.8 kilometers long. It passes through the tunnel structure of the section from Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center to Gangcheng Avenue Station. Above is the elevated bridge, and below is the ground-level road section.

Borehole Information:Pile diameters are divided into 2.2 meters, 2 meters, and 1.8 meters, with depths of about 80 meters.

Stratum Characteristics:Moderately weathered sandstone, gravel layer, large diameter, high hardness, poorly developed fissures.

Construction Method:Three-stage drilling: first open the hole at 1.2 meters, then ream to 1.6 meters, and form the hole at 2.2 meters or 2 meters.

Construction Machinery:SR505, SR435, SR405. There are high-voltage power lines at the construction site, so the SR405 was selected for coordinated construction.‍

The project mostly involves moderately weathered strata, high hardness, large-diameter deep piles, and great construction difficulty, which places higher demands on rotary drilling rig construction. For this reason, the contractor visited various construction sites multiple times, conducted on-site inspections of the construction performance of rotary drilling rigs of various brands, listened to suggestions from on-site bosses and operators, and ultimately decided to purchase four brand-new SANY National Stage IV rotary drilling rigs, namely one SR505-S, two SR435-S, and one SR405-S. The performance of the new equipment after delivery also lived up to the customer's recognition of and trust in SANY.

Equipment Arrives at the Construction Site

As the main models, the SANY SR505-S and SR435-S rotary drilling rigs are large rotary drilling rigs for large-scale pile foundation construction in hard strata such as large buildings, high-speed railways, and highways, with strong hard-rock drilling capability and high construction capacity.
