Suzhou's "Gate of the Orient" has 69 floors and stands 301.8 meters tall. Its foundation stone was laid in September 2004, and it is located on a plot east of the Central Business District of Suzhou Industrial Park and west of Xinggang Street. It is a twin-tower connected portal-frame building. Its design was inspired by the creative concept of the ancient city gates of Suzhou.
