On January 23, the on-site promotion meeting for Henan Province's major transportation projects—striving for a "good start" in the first quarter—was held in Zhengzhou.

The reporter learned at the meeting that in 2024, 11 expressway projects totaling 643 kilometers, including the Luoshan to the Henan-Hubei provincial boundary section of the Neijiang-Luoyang Expressway, are planned to be completed and opened to traffic. A number of major transportation projects are planned to be opened and put into operation, including three ordinary arterial highway Yellow River bridges such as Provincial Highway 304 (National Highway 230 and National Highway 240), the New National Highway 107 Station on the Lianyungang-Horgos Expressway, and the Zhengzhou-Kaifeng intercity railway extension line.

To strive for a "good start," construction has been accelerated on key projects of the Zhengzhou-Luoyang Expressway. As a pilot smart highway application project under the expressway "13445 Project," the project has begun applying "four new" technologies, building a high-standard, high-quality precast beam yard, introducing intelligent digital equipment such as intelligent roughening robots, intelligent grouting robots, and intelligent tensioning robots, and improving construction techniques such as tensioning work platforms and self-locking tool anchors, greatly enhancing construction quality and efficiency.

Ming Yang, manager of the Engineering Technology Department of Henan Communications Investment Group Zhongyuan Expressway Zhengzhou-Luoyang Construction Co., Ltd., said: "At present, we have completed the Gantt chart of the project's overall construction plan. Up to now, the entire line has completed an output value of 102 million yuan, accounting for 22.4% of the first-quarter planned target of 456 million yuan. Next, taking the opportunity of the campaign to 'seize the start, break through difficulties, work hard in the first quarter, and strive for a good start,' we will establish a Party member commando team, refine key objectives and tasks, clarify reward and penalty measures, and strive to exceed the first-quarter target."

It is understood that in the first quarter, major transportation projects in Henan Province are planned to complete more than 26% of the annual investment target.
