On January 10, the section between Bolan Road Station and Sixin South Road Station on Wuhan Metro Line 12 (referred to herein as the Bo-Si section) achieved new progress, with the "Jianbing No. 2" shield machine successfully launched. According to reports, one month after the launch of the right-line shield machine "Jianbing No. 1," the left-line shield machine was successfully launched, marking the Bo-Si section's formal entry into the dual-line tunneling stage.

The left line of the Bo-Si section has a total length of 1,075 meters and runs westward along Sixin South Road. The section mainly consists of silty clay and silty clay with gravel strata. To ensure a smooth shield launch, the project department prepared specialized construction plans for shield launching, tunneling, and reception in the section, and convened an expert review meeting to validate the plans; conducted construction and safety technical briefings for on-site work crews on processes including shield launching, segment assembly, backfill grouting, and segment waterproofing; investigated structures and pipelines around the section and installed comprehensive monitoring points. A key milestone acceptance meeting was held before launch to review and assess all conditions for shield launching.

According to reports, in addition, to ensure the shield machine launches and tunnels on schedule and safely, the project management teams of Wuhan Metro Group, China Railway Development & Investment Group, and the construction contractor scientifically allocated materials, equipment, and personnel, actively coordinated with all parties, and resolved various difficulties. During the New Year's Day holiday, the project team's construction personnel stayed at their posts to seize progress and ensure the milestone of the left-line shield launch in the Bo-Si section. Currently, the right line of the Bo-Si section has advanced 190 rings, and the completed tunnel is of good quality.
