During construction, to improve track-laying efficiency and ensure the smooth progress of joint commissioning and testing, through operation, and other stages, China Railway 14th Bureau Group participated in the development of an advanced domestic multi-line integrated track-laying machine and innovatively adopted a new leap-type intermittent track-laying process, simultaneously laying long rails on the left and right lines. This process features high automation, high laying precision, no damage to track-bed fasteners, high comprehensive operational efficiency, and high reliability. It can increase operational efficiency by more than 50% while greatly reducing safety risks during construction.

The Hangzhou-Nanchang High-Speed Railway is an important connecting line in the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. It links a number of nationally famous tourist attractions, including West Lake in Hangzhou, Qiandao Lake, Huangshan, Poyang Lake, Jingdezhen, and Tengwang Pavilion. Along the line there are 9 national 5A-level scenic areas and more than 70 national 4A-level scenic areas, forming a golden tourism route connecting many famous cities, towns, lakes, and mountains in Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi provinces. After the full-line operation of the Hangzhou-Nanchang High-Speed Railway, it will further improve the regional road network structure, facilitate travel for people along the line, promote the development of tourism resources and industries, and be of great significance for supporting the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
