On December 30, the ninth span of steel girders and all precast bridge deck slabs on the left arch of the Qingshui River Grand Bridge in TJ-2 section of the Jianli Expressway in Guizhou were fully erected, marking the completion of the left carriageway of the Qingshui River Grand Bridge.

It is reported that the Qingshui River Grand Bridge on the Jianli Expressway is invested by China Railway Construction Kunlun Investment Group and constructed by China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group. The main bridge has a clear span of 248 meters and is a reinforced concrete cantilever-cast arch structure, one of the controlling projects of the entire line. The bridge has a clear rise-to-span ratio of 1:4, ranking first in China among bridges of the same type; with a clear span of 248 m, it ranks first in China and second in Asia among bridges of the same type in the highway and railway construction fields.

The steel girders on the arch of the Qingshui River Grand Bridge total 18 spans with a total weight of more than 1,300 tons, and there are 288 precast slabs in total. Facing a tight schedule and heavy tasks, the project department leadership attached great importance and made overall arrangements, continuously strengthening construction management by optimizing the special construction plan for girder erection, fully implementing safety technical briefings, and strengthening safety technical management responsibilities for girder erection, thereby ensuring the orderly progress of girder and slab erection. During construction, the high-standard and strict-requirement construction philosophy was adhered to, ensuring the completion of left-carriageway girder and slab erection.

It is understood that the Jianli Expressway is 74.08 kilometers long and is a key transportation route between Jianhe County and Liping County, as well as an important part of the golden tourism corridor of Qiandongnan Prefecture. After the Jianli Expressway is completed, the travel time between Jianhe and Liping will be shortened to about 1 hour, greatly saving round-trip time between the two counties and forming a fast corridor in the eastern part of Qiandongnan Prefecture.

The successful completion of girder and slab erection on the left carriageway of the Qingshui River Grand Bridge this time has laid the foundation for bridge deck system construction and created favorable conditions for achieving half-carriageway through-traffic on the main line.
