22日上午，随着盾构机刀盘缓缓转动，天津轨道交通Z4线首台盾构机“泰达号”顺利始发，标志着Z4线全面进入盾构施工阶段。
天津轨道交通Z4线一期工程南起规划中部新城，北至汉沽区，全长43.7公里，共设车站24座，是串接滨海新区南北片区与核心区的骨干线路。本次盾构施工位于金临道站—大沽船厂站区间，全长1024米，是滨海新区首个盾构下穿海河工程，也是我市下穿河流最长的盾构区间，盾构机将先后穿越建筑群、海河以及城市主干道等区域，区间地下水系错综、地质条件复杂，施工难度大。
面对建设中的重难点问题，中建八局项目团队在刀盘结构、刀具类型、密封形式、铰接形式等方面进行了充分研究和设计，量身打造了“泰达号”盾构机。这台国产自主盾构机总长85米，重约550吨，选用具有足够刚度、强度的六辐条复合式重型刀盘，借助3.4米大直径主轴承设计，增大刀盘额定扭矩、提高抗冲击性。
