At 10:00 a.m. on November 18, 2023, the handover ceremony for the Bauer - Gongkan Group BG 42 rotary drilling rig was held at the site of the Shenzhen Guimiao Urban Renewal Project. Guests attending the event included: Lin Haoping, Chairman of Gongkan Construction Group; Wu Wenyan, Vice President; Huang Xiaokai, Chairman of Gongkan Foundation Company; Mo Sensheng, General Manager; Kong Dejian and Tang Hansheng, Deputy General Managers; Li Bo, Deputy Manager of Gongkan Geotechnical Group; Liu Jie, Sales Director of Bauer China; Wang Liusong, Deputy General Manager; and Bauer technical personnel.

The BG 42 delivered to Gongkan Group this time is a **-type rotary drilling rig produced by Bauer in Tianjin and equipped with a China IV engine. It has an operating weight of approximately 156 tons and a mast height of 33.2 meters. It features Bauer's unique EEP high-efficiency energy-saving system, which reduces fuel consumption during operation by 20-30%. The BG 42 has a maximum drilling diameter of 3 meters and a maximum drilling depth of 115 meters; the rotary head torque is 420 kNm, and it is powered by a Volvo TAD 13 China IV engine with an output of 405 kW; the M6/L3/T5-class heavy-duty main winch has a single-line pull of 410 kN, and the closed-circuit system can effectively recover energy and greatly reduce energy consumption. The BG 42 adopts an all-new electronic control system, the new B-Tronic system, with a simple interface and fast operation. The upper mast has multiple configurations, and users can choose from comprehensive, deep-drilling, and low-headroom versions. The V-type mast can move horizontally up to 650 mm (comprehensive version), and the mast crowd cylinder is reverse-mounted for easy on-site disassembly. The pull-out comprehensive service platform allows maintenance personnel to conveniently and safely service and maintain the equipment on the ground and at any position on the comprehensive service platform. The BG 42's crowd cylinder has a stroke of 8.5 meters and a lifting force of 505 kN, making it highly suitable for casing construction.

The Bauer "China IV" BG 42 rotary drilling rig under construction at the Guimiao Urban Renewal Project

The Shenzhen Guimiao Urban Renewal Project undertaken by Gongkan Group has a land area of 41,660.10 square meters and is divided into 3 plots. It includes 6 super-high-rise residential buildings of 45 to 54 floors, with a construction area of 524,507.00 square meters. The overall foundation pit excavation depth is about 10.95-16.75 meters, the excavation area is about 40,499 square meters, the foundation pit perimeter is about 991 meters, and the support side length is about 1,156 meters. The project has a large number of piles, many pile types, hard rock strata, and a tight schedule, making it very difficult. The entry of the new Bauer BG 42 drilling rig for construction will provide further assurance for the project's progress.

On the morning of November 21, Mr. Stetter, current President of Bauer Asia-Pacific, Mr. Dachs, incoming President, Cui Xu, President of Bauer China, Liu Jie, Sales Director, and their delegation visited Gongkan Group for exchange and presented Gongkan Group with a "Best Strategic Partner" plaque.
