Recently, Huangshi City held a mobilization meeting and construction commencement event for the Phase II project of the Hubei Huahu Airport Expressway, marking the official start of construction of the Phase II of the Hubei Huahu Airport Expressway.

The Phase II project of the Huahu Airport Expressway has a total investment of 7.508 billion yuan, with a main line length of 36.47 kilometers. The project is located entirely in Daye City of Huangshi City and Echeng District and Liangzi Lake District of Ezhou City. It starts at Chenqiao Village, Zelin Town, Ezhou City, connecting with the Phase I project of the Huahu Airport Expressway, intersects with the Wuhan-Huangshi Expressway, passes through Bishidu Town, Huandique Town, Bao'an Town, and Jinshandian Town, and ends on the south side of Taihe Town, connecting with the planned Jiangxia-Liangzi Lake section (south section) of the Wuhan Metropolitan Area Ring Expressway and intersecting with the Ezhou-Xianning Expressway.

The Phase II project of the Huahu Airport Expressway is a key expressway project in the "14th Five-Year Plan" for Comprehensive Transportation Development of Hubei Province, an important component of the rapid collection and distribution system of Huahu Airport, and a landmark project of the Wuhan-Ezhou-Huangshi-Huanggang international comprehensive transportation hub. It took only 22 days from submission to the Ministry of Natural Resources to passing the ministerial review; only 23 days to obtain the approval of the project feasibility study; only 17 days to obtain the approval of the preliminary design; and only 6 days to obtain the approval of the advance land use, with both ministerial and provincial reviews achieved "zero corrections and one-time approval."

After the project is completed, it will better serve the rapid collection and distribution of Huahu Airport, strengthen the external connectivity of the dual aviation hubs, enhance transportation links between airport economic zones, build a new highland for national airport economy development, and boost the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
