With the smooth pouring of the final batch of concrete, the Quanhe Bridge of the Shenqiu to Henan-Anhui Provincial Boundary Section of the Puyang-Yangxin Expressway Project in Hubei (hereinafter referred to as the Yangxin Expressway Project), constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., was recently fully closed, marking that the main bridge of the Quanhe Bridge has fully entered the bridge deck system construction stage.

The Yangxin Expressway Project is one of the first batch of key projects under Henan Province's "13445 Project" for expressways during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. To ensure project quality, the project department has held multiple special meetings to refine the division of responsibilities, strictly follow specifications and design requirements during construction, and adjust segment data in a timely manner, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of the main bridge closure.

As a controlling project of the entire Yangxin Expressway Project, the Quanhe Bridge has a total length of 852.24 m and is divided into three parts: the south approach bridge, the north approach bridge, and the main bridge. The main bridge features a four-span prestressed concrete continuous box girder with variable cross-section and a span combination of 37 m + 65 m + 65 m + 37 m, constructed using the cantilever method with form travelers. During the bridge construction, the work was significantly affected by the rainy season and flood season and faced risks such as over-water high-altitude operations, soil and water conservation, and environmental protection. In response to construction operations during the flood season, the project department promptly activated the flood control emergency plan, raced against time, and focused on key milestones to ensure construction progress. To strengthen environmental protection, an integrated cofferdam structure was adopted for in-water construction operations, effectively reducing damage to the water quality of the Quan River. This technique has currently been recognized with two Henan provincial-level construction methods and the Special Prize of Henan Provincial Engineering Construction Science and Technology Achievement.

It is reported that after the Quanhe Bridge opens to traffic, the travel time between the two banks of the Quan River will be shortened from 40 minutes to 10 minutes.
