Recently, construction land for the Langying Expressway has received approval, and land acquisition and demolition work is being comprehensively advanced in the 5 counties (cities) along the route.

As of November 10, initial construction points including the Nanbu No. 2 Beam Yard, Yilong Goujiawan Bridge, Peng'an Jinjia Tunnel, and Yingshan Xiongjialiang Tunnel have officially commenced on-site construction, with the number of construction points expected to reach 110 by the end of the year. In addition, the controlling project, the Langzhong Jialing River Grand Bridge, commenced construction earlier in September last year and is progressing smoothly; currently, the pile foundations of the main piers have been completed, the right-side pile cap of the junction pier has been poured, and the approach bridge is undergoing construction of tie beams, pier columns, and other works.

The Langying Expressway involves a total investment of approximately 12.88 billion yuan and a total length of 102.74 kilometers (81.54 kilometers for the main line and 21.2 kilometers for the Peng'an branch line). The main line starts at Sunjiawan in Langzhong City, connects with the Guangnan Expressway (G75), passes through Nanbu County, Yilong County, Peng'an County, and Yingshan County, and connects eastward with the Yingda Expressway (S26); the Peng'an branch line starts at Xujia Town at the northern end of Peng'an County and connects with the Nandaliang Expressway via Baiyu Town.

Upon completion, the project will internally link the 5 counties (cities) of Langzhong, Nanbu, Yilong, Yingshan, and Peng'an, fully achieving expressway connectivity among all counties within Nanchong Municipality; northward, it will reach Longnan, Gansu via Guangyuan; eastward, it will connect to Wanzhou, Liangping, and other places in Chongqing via Dazhou; and southward, it will lead directly to the main urban area of Chongqing via Guang'an. It will accelerate the building of the Northeast Sichuan Economic Zone into a regional economic center at the junction of Sichuan, Chongqing, Shaanxi, and Gansu and a comprehensive transportation hub for exiting Sichuan to the east and north, and is of great significance for accelerating the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, promoting the revitalization and development of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area, and speeding up Nanchong's construction of a modern regional central city.
