Recently, the segmental beam erection of the non-navigable span bridge on the Dongtou side of the S211 Dongtou Gorge Cross-Sea Bridge project was successfully completed, and the entire bridge at the contract end has been smoothly connected, marking that the Dongtou Gorge Cross-Sea Bridge project has entered a new stage.

The non-navigable span bridge on the Dongtou side adopts a segmental precast assembled box girder and vase-shaped wall pier structure, involving high construction difficulty and a large workload. During construction, workers of all teams braved hardships and devoted themselves fully to the bridge construction, making every effort to overcome technical difficulties.

It is understood that the project started on April 1, 2022, with its starting point in Tongxing Village, Niyu Subdistrict, and its endpoint in Baidie Village, Beiao Subdistrict, with a total length of 3,790 meters.

The full connection of the contract end of the Dongtou Gorge Cross-Sea Bridge is of milestone significance for the Dongtou S211 project. As an important part of the Niyu-to-Beiao section of the S211 Anji-to-Dongtou Highway, the project, once completed, will be of great significance in promoting the development of Dongtou's tourism resources, optimizing the layout of Dongtou's regional road network, and improving the travel conditions of residents along the route.
