In the golden autumn season, osmanthus fragrans fills the air with fragrance. On the banks of the Yellow River, under clear autumn skies and brisk air, a real-life version of "Speed and Passion" is unfolding amid colorful watercolor-like scenes! Recently, with the final steel truss girder precisely adjusted into place, the Liaotai Yellow River Highway-Railway Bridge was successfully closed, completing the entire project.

The Liaotai Yellow River Highway-Railway Bridge crosses the Yellow River as a combined highway-railway bridge. Its main bridge adopts a five-span continuous steel truss girder of 120+3×180+120 meters, with a maximum span of 180 meters, making it currently the highway-railway dual-purpose bridge with the largest span of parallel-chord steel truss girder in China.

During the construction process, the Municipal Transportation Quality and Safety Center reasonably formulated supervision plans and sampling inspection frequencies, starting from aspects such as foundation pit excavation, pile foundation construction, steel structure assembly, and incremental launching construction to strictly control project quality. At the same time, special supervision and inspections were carried out targeting test sections, key nodes, and hazardous major projects to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

The Liaotai Yellow River Highway-Railway Bridge and Highway Connection Project is a controlling project of the Liaotai Railway and has been listed successively as a key infrastructure project of Shandong Province in 2020 and a major construction project of Shandong Province in 2021 and 2022. The bridge spans the natural moat of the Yellow River, linking two cities with one bridge and connecting Pingyin County of Jinan City and Dong'e County of Liaocheng City. After the project opens to traffic, it will strengthen transportation communication and ties between Jinan and Liaocheng, accelerate the construction of transportation integration in the economic circle of the provincial capital city cluster, promote economic and social development along the route, and be of great significance to Jinan's accelerated march toward the "Yellow River Era."
