Recently, at the FIDIC "2023 Global Infrastructure Awards" ceremony held in Singapore, 10 projects recommended by the China Engineering Consulting Association won awards, accounting for one third of the total number of award-winning projects worldwide. China has ranked first in the total number of awards for ten consecutive years, achieving a "ten consecutive championships" in total awards.

The 2023 FIDIC Project Awards established three tiers—"Award of Excellence," "Outstanding Award," and "Merit Award"—and classified projects by size to accurately reflect their scale and impact. This year, China had 10 winning projects: 7 transportation projects, 2 energy projects, and 1 water conservancy project, including 1 "Award of Excellence," 3 "Outstanding Awards," and 6 "Merit Awards." These projects are all infrastructure and livelihood projects with major impacts on economic and social development, reflecting that China's construction level in fields such as hydropower, water conservancy, nuclear energy, rail transit, and bridges has reached world-class standards.

It is reported that FIDIC is an authoritative organization in the global engineering consulting industry. The contract terms and standards it formulates for engineering construction project management represent the highest level of the industry and are widely applied internationally. In 2013, on the occasion of FIDIC's centenary, in accordance with the core values of "quality, integrity, and sustainability," FIDIC organized the first "Centenary Project Awards," and thereafter every year it selects and commends a group of engineering projects worldwide that have made outstanding contributions to global economic and social development.
