Responsible for the construction of nearly 3,000 pile foundations

The Tongtaiyang Grand Bridge project section has a total length of 31.63 km, mainly including one grand bridge. XCMG rotary drilling rigs XR200E, XR240E, XR580HD and XR460E are used in combined large and medium tonnage construction, responsible for 2,927 pile foundations.

The route crosses rivers and highways at multiple points, making ultra-long bored pile foundation construction with rotary drilling rigs full of challenges, and steel casing installation is also quite difficult. To ensure construction safety and first-time quality of the pile foundations, the project team applied multiple technologies, including pile foundation construction hole-mouth frames, pile foundation construction mud return tanks, rebar pre-bending pliers and mud sampling devices for any depth, safeguarding pile foundation construction in terms of safety, environmental protection and construction efficiency.

The XR200E and XR240E medium-tonnage products focus on small piles, offering safety, efficiency and speed, completing 3-4 piles per day. The XR460E and XR580HD large and ultra-large tonnage products mainly tackle large and deep piles, with pile depths of 120 meters, averaging two piles every three days, achieving high hole-forming quality and fast pile completion.

The efficient, high-quality pile foundation work of the rotary drilling rigs not only laid the foundation for subsequent construction, but also marks that the main works of the North Yangtze River Railway have entered a new construction stage, setting off an upsurge of intensive construction on the project.
