It was learned from the Guangxi Highway Development Center that as of the end of September this year, ordinary highway construction projects across the region completed an investment of 6.244 billion yuan in the third quarter, with a cumulative investment of 17.059 billion yuan for the year. Among them, ordinary national and provincial trunk highways and other road network projects completed a cumulative investment of 8.231 billion yuan, and rural highway projects completed a cumulative investment of 8.828 billion yuan for the year.

In the third quarter, the Sanjiang Fulu to Danzhou section (Phase II) of Provincial Highway 208 was successfully completed and opened to traffic, effectively enhancing the inheritance and development of folk culture in the Rongshui area, known as the "Hometown of a Hundred Festivals." It not only facilitates travel for the people of the Miao villages, but also accelerates the supply of raw materials for the Liuzhou luosifen industry and the transportation of local economic crops such as Chinese fir and tea, directly benefiting more than 290,000 people, and is of great significance for promoting the economic development of local ethnic minorities and supporting rural revitalization.

In terms of key highway projects, the construction of key projects such as the Longmen Bridge and Dafengjiang Bridge on the Binhai Highway of National Highway 228 and the Yanbian Highway of National Highway 219 has been continuously accelerated. As of the end of September, the Longmen Bridge had completed a cumulative investment of 4.545 billion yuan, accounting for 79.61% of the total investment; the Dafengjiang Bridge had completed a cumulative investment of 983 million yuan, accounting for 93.58% of the total investment; and the Fangcheng Dongzhong to Dongxing section of National Highway 219 had completed a cumulative investment of 1.276 billion yuan, accounting for 79.04% of the total investment.

As of the end of September, 99 "Four Constructions and One Connection" projects had started, with a start rate of 100%, and 5 had been completed. The township-to-township second- and third-class highway projects had reached a cumulative total of 1,092 townships, with the proportion of townships connected by second- and third-class highways reaching 98%. In 2023, 92 continuing township-to-township second- and third-class highway projects were under construction, all of which have started.
