On September 28, the dam of the Guanmenzuizi Reservoir project, the largest water conservancy hub project under construction in Heilongjiang Province, successfully achieved full-line capping, marking phased progress in the project's construction.

Guanmenzuizi Reservoir is one of the 150 major water conservancy projects designated by the State Council, with a total storage capacity of 403 million cubic meters. It began full-scale construction in August 2021 and is scheduled to complete the main works, management station buildings, water conveyance pipelines, fish proliferation station, and other facilities by the end of December 2023, with water storage conditions expected to be met by June 2024. Once the project is put into use, it can solve the problem of regional engineering-related water shortages, provide water source guarantees for expanding irrigated areas downstream, and deliver comprehensive benefits including flood control, power generation, and ecological environment improvement.

On September 28, the commencement ceremony for the Niululing Irrigation District Project in Hainan Province was held, marking the project's full entry into the main construction phase.

The Niululing Irrigation District Project is one of the 150 major water conservancy projects designated by the State Council, an important component of Hainan Province's water network construction, and the first large-scale irrigation district in Hainan Province's major water conservancy projects to adopt an integrated construction-management-operation model. The project uses Niululing Reservoir as its main water source, has a construction period of 50 months, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

After completion, the project will effectively solve problems such as water shortages for regional agricultural irrigation, provide irrigation water for 566,000 mu of farmland in Wanning City and Qionghai City, and supply water for urban and rural domestic and industrial use in 21 towns. It is of great significance for optimizing Hainan Province's overall water resource allocation, improving the strategic layout of water conservancy, and enhancing water resource utilization efficiency and safeguard capacity.

On September 26, the dam crest of the Laolan Reservoir Hub Project in Yantai City, Shandong Province, was officially connected, marking the official completion of the Laolan Reservoir Hub Project one month ahead of the date approved in the preliminary design, laying a solid foundation for meeting the conditions for gate closure and water storage before the end of the year.

Laolan Reservoir is one of the 150 major water conservancy projects designated by the State Council. The project focuses on water supply and flood control, while also taking into account irrigation and ecological environment water use. It controls a basin area of 624 square kilometers and has a total storage capacity of 158 million cubic meters.

After completion, the project will effectively ensure the safety of urban and rural water supply in the urban area and perform flood control functions. At the same time, in its design, Laolan Reservoir has reserved ecological water volumes and can provide ecological water replenishment to downstream river channels during dry years and dry seasons.
