Jointly building the Nanning Wuxu International Airport expansion and renovation project

Nanning Airport is an important trunk airport of a provincial capital in China. The Nanning Airport expansion and renovation project creates a three-level interconnected three-dimensional transportation system: aircraft pass on the upper level, motor vehicles pass in the middle, and subways pass underground. The taxiway bridge has a span of 45 meters, making it the first aircraft taxiway bridge in Guangxi and currently the aircraft taxiway bridge with the largest span in China. Once completed, the expansion and renovation project will play an important role in improving the regional modern comprehensive transportation system and making the airport an aviation hub oriented toward ASEAN.

The total investment of the project is 6.2 billion yuan, with a planned investment of 1.5 billion yuan in 2023, and a design of 334 pile foundations.

The construction contractor of the project is China Railway Sixth Group, which is currently carrying out engineering pile construction. There are 25 SANY rotary drilling rigs on the construction site.

Site conditions: the stratum consists of 4-5 meters of soil at the top, with rock layers below. The pile depth requirement is 15 meters. One SANY SR405 unit can drill 3 piles per day, with fuel consumption of approximately 33.34 L/h.
