In the early hours of September 17, the (40+72+72+40) m continuous girder of the Baishan Hunjiang Bridge on the Shenyang-Baihe High-Speed Railway, constructed by China Railway Shanghai Engineering Group, was successfully closed, providing the necessary conditions for subsequent bridge deck system construction.

The Baishan Hunjiang Bridge is located within Hunjiang District, Baishan City, with a total length of 225.5 m. The bridge successively crosses the existing Hunbai Railway, National Highway G201, and the Hunjiang River. The (40+72+72+40) m continuous girder spans Piers 3# to 7# of the Baishan Hunjiang Bridge. Pier 3# is located on the Hunbai line (construction requires relocation and modification of the Hunbai line first), Pier 5# is situated in the median green belt of National Highway G201, and Pier 7# stands in the Hunjiang River. Construction organization is difficult, safety risks are high, and schedule pressure is tight. To ensure the smooth closure of the continuous girder, the project department, in light of actual site conditions, planned ahead, organized rationally, and refined the division of labor. Starting from each link—raw material quality, concrete mixing and transportation, technical control, and safety supervision—responsibilities were assigned to specific individuals, process control was strengthened, and concrete pouring quality was ensured.

It is understood that the Shenyang-Baihe High-Speed Railway has a total length of 430.1 km and a design speed of 350 km/h. It is an important component of the rapid railway corridor in the eastern part of Northeast China within the PRC's national medium- and long-term railway network. The project's construction is of great significance for promoting the effective integration of regional development with the national strategy. At the same time, the project is also needed to improve the layout of the rapid passenger transport network in Northeast China and to build a rapid railway corridor in the eastern part of Northeast China. The Shenyang-Baihe High-Speed Railway is the main passenger transport corridor in the eastern part of Northeast China. Once completed and opened to traffic, it will greatly drive the in-depth development of tourism resources in the Changbai Mountains and is of major significance for promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China and achieving high-quality regional economic development.
