On the morning of September 15, the 2023 World Geothermal Congress officially opened at the China National Convention Center. With the theme "Clean Geothermal, Green Earth," the congress drew exhibitors from 54 countries and 227 domestic and international companies, and XCMG Energy's 4,000-meter digital drilling rig model was showcased at the event.

In recent years, China has attached great importance to the development of clean energy such as geothermal energy. As a main force and vital new member of the new energy family, geothermal energy boasts abundant reserves, wide distribution, reliable stability, and enormous development and utilization potential, demonstrating vigorous vitality in China's low-carbon energy transition.

Targeting the needs of shallow energy extraction and combining the features of fully hydraulic truck-mounted drilling rigs and conventional oil drilling rigs, this equipment was specially developed using 5G, digital, and automation technologies. Compared with conventional rigs, low-position operation is safer, the wellsite footprint is reduced by 40%, the number of drilling workers is reduced by 50%, and transportation costs are cut by 40%, offering more possibilities for the drilling and extraction industry and customers.

At the exhibition, XCMG's digital drilling rig sand table model became a "must-visit photo spot" at the China National Convention Center.

These policy measures have effectively promoted the high-quality development of China's geothermal industry.
