Recently, the left tube of the Shichuan Tunnel on the LHQZ-ZB1-3 general construction contracting project of the G30 Lianyungang–Khorgos Expressway Lanzhou Qingshuiyi–Zhonghe Section Capacity Expansion and Reconstruction Project was successfully holed through. This is the first tunnel on the project's main line to be completed, marking a major breakthrough in the construction of the G30 Qingzhong Expressway project and laying the foundation for the smooth overall progress of the entire line and its early completion and realization of benefits.

It is understood that the Shichuan Tunnel is an important component of the eastern section of the Lanzhou North Ring Road on the G30 Lianyungang–Khorgos Expressway and a key controlling works of the project. The tunnel runs through the mountains on the left bank of the Yellow River, crossing a bedrock mountainous area, with a total length of 1,529 m. During project construction, the Municipal Transport Commission adhered to the concept of a "quality project, safe project, and green project," urging all participating units to optimize and improve construction plans and various emergency response plans to ensure construction safety. All participating units exercised real-time control over key processes and carried out tunnel excavation in strict accordance with the technical measures of "early entry and late exit, short advance, weak blasting, strong support, frequent measurement, and timely lining." In response to complex geological conditions in the tunnel, they conducted detailed on-site investigations, studied and formulated special construction plans in conjunction with the design drawings, organized standardized construction, and strengthened effective on-site control, thereby effectively ensuring the normal progress of the project.

The successful holing-through of the left tube of the Shichuan Tunnel has greatly boosted the morale of the project's construction personnel. All participating units stated that they will keep a close eye on the schedule targets and, on the premise of ensuring quality and safety, make every effort to accelerate project construction and improve efficiency, using high-quality project construction to drive high-quality development.
