On September 10, the 2023 China Engineering Construction Standardization Academic Conference and the Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award Ceremony were held in Nanning, Guangxi. Wang Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Academy of Building Research (CABR) and President of the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization (CECS), and Wang Qingqin, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of CABR and Standards Master of the Association, attended the conference.

At this award ceremony, the 2023 Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award project awards and talent awards were presented. CABR received 7 project awards, 13 talent awards, and 1 Outstanding Contribution Award. Among them, as the first completing unit, it won 2 first prizes, 1 second prize, and 4 third prizes for project awards; a total of 13 experts were recognized with talent awards, including 1 Standards Master, 7 Standards Leading Talents, and 5 Standards Young Talents, the largest number of recipients in previous years; its affiliated Beijing Institute of Construction Mechanization received the Outstanding Contribution Award.

The Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award of the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization is the first dedicated award in China's engineering construction standardization field approved by the National Office for Science and Technology Awards of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and is also an important platform for promoting the interactive development of science and technology and standards in the engineering construction field. Since its establishment in 2018, the award has attracted widespread attention across society, and its industry influence has continued to expand, selecting a large number of high-level standard science and technology innovation achievements, outstanding contribution units, and standardization leading talents.

CABR deeply fulfills its responsibilities as a central state-owned enterprise, gives play to its industry-leading and talent-demonstration role, and actively participates in the selection of the Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award. Over the years, it has won a total of 80 Standard Science and Technology Innovation Awards, contributing important strength to promoting scientific and technological innovation and standards leadership in the engineering construction field, advancing engineering construction standardization reform, and cultivating high-quality standard achievements and talent teams.
