XCMG's large-tonnage horizontal directional drilling rig XZ4200 has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, to support the power pipeline network laying project in Bangkok's Bangna district. The project involves 160mm-diameter, 30-hole pipelines with a crossing length of 450m, ensuring electricity supply for local urban residents in Bangkok.

Thailand's humid climate and complex soil conditions, mostly sandy clay and backfill layers, combined with construction sites close to traffic lanes and residential areas and complex crossing terrain, make construction highly challenging.
The XCMG XZ4200 horizontal directional drilling rig is a large-tonnage horizontal directional drilling rig independently developed by XCMG Foundation. It features fast rotation speed, high torque, and strong push-pull force, with a maximum pullback force of 4200 kN and a maximum rotary torque of 150000 N·m, making it suitable for large-diameter, long-distance crossing conditions.

XCMG's local technical service personnel in Thailand also rushed to the construction site at the earliest opportunity, adjusting construction methods according to actual geological conditions and different customer needs, participating in equipment training and commissioning, and providing a tailored integrated solution package that accelerated the successful implementation of the customer's project!

The XZ4200 horizontal directional drilling rig selected for the project adopts a dual-power system, combined with proprietary multi-condition adjustment technology and multi-gear control technology for rotation and push-pull, adapting to various construction conditions. During pilot-hole or small-diameter construction, XCMG's single-engine high-efficiency and fast construction technology can be used, reducing fuel consumption and lowering construction costs.
The equipment is embedded with intelligent functions such as one-touch high-speed push-pull and automatic idle, offering a high degree of intelligence that makes operation convenient for the operator, saving effort and worry. The working device features multi-stage variable speed to adapt to efficient construction in various geological conditions. Intelligent positioning monitoring and control technology and multiple anti-collision limit technologies maximize the safety of construction personnel, protect the equipment structure, and extend the service life of the entire machine.

The XCMG horizontal directional drilling rig is equipped with an independent soundproof operating cabin, an LCD screen that automatically displays main construction parameters, and multi-function integrated dual joysticks for more user-friendly operation.
During construction, the XCMG XZ4200 remained stable and reliable, maintaining full attendance at "full tank" status, perfectly overcoming the challenges of urban pipeline crossing and demonstrating the advantages of strong power, precise control, and smooth output.

This excellent "crossing report card" from the XCMG horizontal directional drilling rig has earned high praise from Thai customers for the efficiency and stability of XCMG equipment, and has also given high recognition to XCMG's overseas service layout!
