On September 4, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Engineering Command of Qiancheng Pile Engineering received a notice of award from China Railway 15th Bureau Group Co., Ltd.: relying on its rich construction experience, strong technical strength and scientific bidding plan, Qiancheng Pile Engineering stood out from a number of outstanding enterprises and successfully won the bid for the plastic drainage board, sealing wall and vacuum preloading project of Section ZJSG-2 of the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway!

The Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway is located entirely within Guangdong Province. It is a high-speed railway focused on medium- and long-distance passenger flow while also accommodating intercity passenger flow within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and has been included in the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intercity Railway Construction Plan". The line starts from a section of the Shenzhen-Maoming Railway and passes through Jiangmen, Foshan and Zhaoqing. It is an important part of the westbound and northwest-bound high-speed passenger transport corridor serving Shenzhen-Hong Kong and the west bank of the Pearl River, and of the collection and distribution system of the Pearl River Delta Hub (Guangzhou New) Airport. It is a major project for improving the layout of the railway network on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary.

The ZJSG-2 section in which Qiancheng Pile Engineering is participating is an important part of the Zhuhai-Jiangmen segment of the line. It mainly includes: three bridges — the Hezhou Station Grand Bridge on the main line (3,594 m), No. 1 Bridge on the depot access line (351 m) and No. 2 Grand Bridge on the depot access line (547 m) — with a total length of 4,492 m; prefabrication and erection of box girders, totaling 606 spans; and two sections of subgrade and related works, namely the 3,051 m subgrade of the EMU depot and the 652.31 m subgrade of the depot access line. The ground treatment includes plastic drainage boards, vacuum preloading and sealing walls (slurry mixing piles with a diameter of 0.7 m), among others. The main construction content of this award covers 460,000 meters of plastic drainage boards, 150,000 square meters of vacuum preloading and 300,000 meters of slurry mixing piles, etc.

This project marks the first cooperation between Qiancheng Pile Engineering and China Railway 15th Bureau in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and is another important business achievement of Qiancheng Pile Engineering in firmly seizing the opportunities of Greater Bay Area construction and contributing to the region's development in its professional field.
