On September 6, good news came from the Beijing Office of Qiancheng Pile Engineering: Qiancheng Pile Engineering signed a contract with the Beijing Branch of China Railway Jinan Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. for the soft foundation treatment project of the Second Sub-division of the Second Work Area of Section 7 of the Eastern Guangdong Intercity Railway, and officially joined the construction of this sub-division project!

The "one ring and one ray" of the Eastern Guangdong Intercity Railway is an important part of the intercity railway network plan for the Eastern Guangdong region approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The project connects external transportation hubs such as Shantou Station, Chaoshan Station, Jieyang Station, and Chaoshan Airport, and links with the Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway, Shantou-Meizhou High-speed Railway, Xiamen-Shenzhen High-speed Railway, Shantou-Zhangzhou High-speed Railway, and Guang'ao Port Railway. It connects the central urban areas of Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang, and is of great significance for promoting the Eastern Guangdong region in building a new growth pole for economic development, advancing the integrated transportation development of "Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang," strengthening connections with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the West Taiwan Strait Economic Zone, improving the comprehensive transportation network of the Eastern Guangdong region, and driving economic and social development along the route. 

The Second Work Area of Section 7 crosses Jinping District, Shantou City, with a main line length of 8.375 km. The Second Sub-division has a main line length of 1.48 km, including 3 bridges, 2.24 km of subgrade for the EMU depot station yard, one precast girder yard, one precast sleeper plant, and 19.05 track-laying kilometers of ballastless track bed. The main construction content undertaken by Qiancheng Pile Engineering is the soft foundation treatment of the subgrade of the Liantang EMU Depot, using construction techniques such as plastic drainage boards and vacuum preloading. Because the subgrade area mainly consists of fish ponds, farmland, and lotus ponds, and involves soft soil and encroaching subgrade, with poor geological conditions, high quality requirements, and great difficulty in organization and coordination, this subgrade project is a key and difficult project in this section. 

This project is another railway project in which Qiancheng Pile Engineering has cooperated with the Beijing Branch of China Railway Jinan Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. after projects such as the Zhangjiakou-Hohhot Railway, Mengxi-Huazhong Railway, Zhengzhou-Jinan Railway, and Shuicao Railway. It is also another representative project in which Qiancheng Pile Engineering has deeply participated in the infrastructure construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
