Today, the Chinese Academy of Engineering released the list of valid candidates for the 2023 academician co-election.

This year's valid candidates total 655, belonging respectively to the Division of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering with 66, the Division of Information and Electronic Engineering with 78, the Division of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with 73, the Division of Energy and Mining Engineering with 82, the Division of Environmental and Light Textile Engineering with 65, the Division of Agriculture with 89, the Division of Medicine and Health with 85, and the Division of Civil, Hydraulic and Architectural Engineering with 83.

Among them, two scientific and technological giants in the field of construction machinery were selected: He Qinghua, founder/honorary chairman/chief expert of Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., and Liu Feixiang, chief scientist of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited.
